How much do you charge?
I believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone and I offer a few sliding scale times based on need and on a first come, first serve basis. My standard rate is $170 per session and I offer a free 15 minute consultation session to see whether this is the right fit for you. Credit cards are preferred.
Do you accept insurance?
While I am not on any insurance panels, I can provide documentation for reimbursable services if your insurance plan provides out-of-network benefits.
What if I need to reschedule?
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, so please provide notice via email or 415-236-3743 or I will have to charge you for the missed session.
How many sessions do you recommend for therapy?
The length of our work together will differ for each person. My goal is for therapy to be as brief as possible, however the length can sometimes depend on the problem we are working with and your commitment to the process. Because a positive working relationship between the client and therapist is crucial to long-term success, I initially recommend coming in for at least 4 sessions to explore and define our goals. Most clients continue for 6 months or longer.
How often will we meet?
Generally, we meet for 50 minutes once a week. Therapy is a commitment you make to yourself so the consistency and frequency are important for building a strong foundation.
